“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”

Harriet Tubman

The doors of purpose, passion, and pursuit are open to the courageous few who dare to embark on the journey through the discomfort. Our lives are not meant to be a 40-year prison sentence, pursuing the passions of others, working on goals that aren’t ours, and doing what society tells us to. Life is meant to fuel us, and give us more energy through the creative endeavors our souls have in store for us.

Our intention creates our reality.

Wayne Dryer

What is your purpose? Do you know what it is yet? If not, don’t worry.

It’s always better to find out sooner rather than later. A life without passion and intention isn’t worth living. You may be wondering how I can make such a bold statement like that, but the truth of the matter is that we are all here for something more than just making money or achieving personal success. There is an underlying reason why we’re on this earth and our lives are too short to waste them on anything less than our true passions!

Steps to Finding Your Passion

  • Start by examining your life purpose, what is it that drives you? What can’t you live without?
  • Next ask yourself the following questions: How do I spend my time? Where does my energy go when I’m not working or involved in day-to-day activities.
  • Tap into your intuition and listen to the answers that come from within.
  • Listen for clues in what you see every day, get inspired!
  • Ask yourself how do I want others to remember me? What is my legacy going to be? How can I live a life of significance? Significance not in the ego-sense, but in the ability to have an impact on the world around you.
  • Your life purpose is not about you, it’s about others. That doesn’t mean your passion and purpose aren’t wrapped up in yourself, but at the end of the day, we all want to leave this world better than when we arrived.
  • You can achieve anything regardless of who tells you that you can or cannot do something! Set goals for yourself. Break your goals into sub-goals and use these sub-goals to get to action.
  • Keep your heart open, soul-focused, and mind sharp. Be confident in yourself and never give up on what you believe! You are unlimited if you allow yourself to be.
  • Your willingness and vision of your future self will shape the next reality that you want to live. Get out of your fear-based thinking and stay in the present.
  • There are many paths to achieving greatness, but even if you don’t know what it is that you want to achieve; act with intention on something because every action counts! When we take time each day for introspection (by asking “what would I like today?”) then we give life an opportunity to show us.

Your path in life is yours, and yours only. Remember you have to put your head down on that pillow at night, not anyone else. Observe what others say, do not absorb. You have to live with intention, passion and pursue your goals.

Life is meant to be an adventure that nourishes the soul. Somewhere along the path of your life, someone told you that you couldn’t do something. I am here to tell you, you can do more than what anyone tells you or shows you! You just need a vision, an aim, and the intention to do the things you set out to do. Now, I know what it’s not like to settle in to comfort, we all do. But our comfort isn’t where our dreams are made a reality. Be a dreamer of dreams and a doer of things. Without action, nothing great has ever been accomplished and left behind as a legacy for others to enjoy.

You have objectives to meet and an agenda ahead of you. But it all starts with your intention, so set out on a path that will lead you right where you want to go! It’s not about the destination but how we get there.

If you’ve been struggling to find your purpose, it may be time for a change of pace. Though the road is long and winding, there are ways to make this journey easier on yourself. You have to be willing to take chances when all odds seem insurmountable — even if that means taking a leap into the unknown with blind faith in yourself. Finding your purpose can feel like an impossible task but it starts with you — -with what you want from life, who you want to become as an individual or company member, and how far will go to get those things done. It’s not always easy finding out where we belong but our destiny isn’t set either so don’t give up hope just yet! The sooner we start this pursuit, the more meaningful life we can enjoy.
